Bulova Gemini Chronograph
63C106; Valjoux (ETA) 7750; B2 date code = 2012

The white or metallic white dial version of this Bulova Gemini was posted here a few days ago. This is the black dial version in which the guilloche pattern isn't always prominent. In low light it nearly disappears. I've got two other Gemini in the metallic white, one with a Unitas (ETA) 6498-1 and the other with an ETA 2893-2, in which the dial pattern is always present.

This first photo shows the dial pattern in detail (specifically lit for that) which is generally more subdued. It reveals the Bulova Gemini guilloche pattern is either stamped or molded into the dial. It is more detail than the end-user sees with an unaided eye. Thought it would be of interest to show how the dial's visual effect is achieved.

This is what the end-user generally sees in the more subdued lighting one might find in a living room or den. Highly polished Faceted indices and convex surface hands catch light from almost any direction, giving reflection from at least some portion of them. Moving the watch around under point light sources (versus diffused areal sources like banks of overhead fluorescents in an office) shifts the specular highlights on them giving a glittering effect.

Obligatory HWS done under very diffused lighting . . .

Obligatory lume shot . . .
