That should be use a pencil's eraser to clean electrical contacts. Smile

I think you lucked out with the battery contacts. Graphite does conduct, but it adds electrical resistance. You can make mechanical pencil refills glow like a light bulb with the proper current regulation, or else make it explode. I won't elaborate on how I know that. Laughing
