All my 2018 changes have been in one family ...
Dre
January 02, 2019 10:31AM
I had a Damasko DA38 that I picked up in 2017. Ultimately I decided I prefer the DA44 with the bezel, so off the DA38 went.

The DA38 got traded away for a Damasko DC66. Big chrono.

Ultimately I decided it was just a bit bigger than I really wanted. Lucked into somebody with a Damasko DC56 chrono who wanted a bigger one. So it got traded away fairly quickly. The DC56 is still here, and will stay for a while.

2019 goals aren't acquisition, they're fixing things up. I have 2 Omegas, both need servicing this year. The coaxial Aqua Terra won't be super cheap to service, but it needs it.

What have we bought this year? What did we sell? Jpeg Attachments James T. Kirk© 328 December 31, 2018 02:45PM
Oh, Geez. I didn't sell any, but went a little crazy on buying I think. Jpeg Attachments jhargrave 184 January 02, 2019 04:10PM

I'm with ya - nice haul. That Invicta looks like a vintage Zodiac red dot dive chrono - very cool. Thumbs Up (n/t) Mike D 128 January 02, 2019 09:09PM
I really looked for that one. I had one like it back during my PMWF days, and sold it. jhargrave 114 January 04, 2019 03:06AM
I once had a Invicta, that was a clone of another not so expensive watch, sometimes you think, what?? James T. Kirk© 180 January 03, 2019 04:06AM
I agree - many watch brands borrow elements from other brands, of course. I think your bronze one... Mike D 125 January 03, 2019 09:01AM
And I even hear/read that Rolex copied from Jeager Lecoultre or another brand? (n/t) James T. Kirk© 111 January 03, 2019 01:52PM
My addiction Laughing flared up late 2018. I gave away one as a gift, one is for sale & three new to the collection Jpeg Attachments Jeremyd676 180 January 02, 2019 01:46PM

Very nice quality items all and yes, keeping up Swiss movements 'cost a watch'. Smile (n/t) James T. Kirk© 112 January 02, 2019 02:30PM

That was a large haul en I understand you giving that watch away! Laughing (n/t) James T. Kirk© 182 January 02, 2019 05:55AM
Thanks - yeah, I actually like the watch, but it was a novelty thing. Well made though - I believe it's made by Steinhart - just never wore it as you might imagine. Laughing (n/t) Mike D 134 January 02, 2019 08:52AM
Well, I couldn't believe it was a Steinhart product...Wink (n/t) James T. Kirk© 115 January 02, 2019 02:28PM
You're right - I did some checking and it was actually made by Debaufre - that makes more sense. Here's a link... URL Mike D 134 January 02, 2019 03:34PM
Well, the Swiss made were made by Debaufré, but Zane Lamprey had the quartz ones made in China, so not by Debaufré, am I right? James T. Kirk© 160 January 03, 2019 03:58AM
I think you're right - that's why it was only $149. Definitely not the Swiss Debaufre. Laughing (n/t) Mike D 173 January 03, 2019 08:42AM
You sure have been busy there Mike! You'll need a another watch box. (n/t) RussMurray 163 January 01, 2019 07:02PM
