Yema.

Back around 2000 Seiko owned 25% of Yema, and shared thousands of 4S15 movements with the French watch company.

Since then, Seiko has parted with Yema, and Yema has changed hands again, like it seems to do now every decade.

The new owner's plan as of around 2007 was to concentrate on quartz chronographs, supplied by Ronda.

Ronda has a factory here in Thailand making quartz chronographs, employing 4,000. The factory opened about the same time as the Yema ownership change. Ronda already had a large factory for regular quartz movements in Thailand as well. This is already ancient history.

And another look at the Zodiac. Somehow not in the daily rotation.
