Is Happy Day! Ocean7 CP-1 has landed!

Got the CP-1 today - damn, this is a biggun, but I love it. The strap, being 28mm is the widest I've ever owned and I'd prefer a 26mm or 24mm, but it does work well with this behemoth of a diver. Crown action is smooth, lume is decent - would have preferred a lumed bezel, but no big deal.

It's definitely at the top end, sizewise, of what I could wear - could not do anything any larger, but this won't be a dress watch, so there ya go. I think, given the size of the dial and bezel, the lugs could be a mm or two shorter on each end in proportion.

All in all, I like it a lot and think it's a keeper.

In comparison to my Nethuns Lava II, which is 45mm, it looks similarly sized, but the O7 is 4mm wider and 6mm lug to lug longer.

Interested in a more domestic source of 26mm straps? BF Hammer 15 February 11, 2020 06:18PM
Thanks, Chris - this one takes a 28mm strap! Laughing (n/t) Mike D 15 February 11, 2020 06:22PM
Whoops! I've bought narrower belts. Laughing (n/t) BF Hammer 13 February 11, 2020 06:31PM
Laughing Yup, that is the one downside to this behemoth - at 28mm, there are way fewer options. I am thinking a stingray with white or orange stitching. (n/t) Mike D 14 February 11, 2020 06:41PM
It's definitely a beauty, Mike! Congrats! (n/t) jhargrave 14 February 11, 2020 01:24PM

Good you don't have tiny wrists! What a great looker and the matt black color does it look like smaller actually... James T. Kirk© 20 February 11, 2020 08:43AM
Thanks, Johan! I have lost about 60 pounds over the last few years and my wrist is a bit smaller than it was. Now at 7.5" - was 7.75". Any smaller and this would not work. Laughing (n/t) Mike D 16 February 11, 2020 12:35PM

Laughing Thanks - it's a chunk alright! (n/t) Mike D 14 February 11, 2020 07:21AM
Cheers! That's an awesome beast of a watch! Congrats! How does ceramic compare to steel in weight? Zeb 18 February 10, 2020 03:43PM
Thanks, Dan - the case back is nothing special - very basic. It's a bit lighter than steel at 145g, but not as light as Ti. Jpeg Attachments Mike D 22 February 10, 2020 03:58PM
It's appropriate. Thumbs Up (n/t) Zeb 16 February 10, 2020 04:51PM
