Wallet Friendly studio Smile
August 03, 2014 08:31AM
I think this is the cheapest studio you can find, a plastic bag Laughing I usually use drafting Mylar but my lovely wife threw it out Crying That'll teach me to not put things away Eek! Back to the Bag Studio Laughing My light source was a wall fixture in the room which was just above my setup, off to the left of the photo below. With my DSLR mounted on the tripod and my extension tubes attached to my lens, I don't have a macro lens Sad I take several test shots to check for exposure and for reflections. Since my light source is fixed on the wall I have to reposition the watch, tripod or both to keep reflections down. Once I'm happy with reflections I snap a few frames at different shutter speeds and pick the best after previewing on my laptop. That's it! I am 99.9% sure you can also get very good results with a point n shoot camera in auto mode. Just make sure the flash is turned off and you have macro set on. Give it a try Smile
